What is your favorite part of volunteering for Family Promise?
There are many aspects about Family Promise that are fulfilling. The mission is simple and easy to be passionate about. The execution of the model for Family Promise is efficient and effective. The most important part is the opportunity for all of us to witness the good work Family Promise provides to families in need. It not only preserves the family bond, but also brings the congregations in to further support the families.
Do you belong to a congregation or are you an unaffiliated volunteer?
I'm a member of New Hope Lutheran Church.
What would you tell people who are considering helping Fort Bend Family Promise?
I encourage others to learn about Family Promise and help families become self-sufficient through financial contribution, or more importantly, volunteering. The opportunity to meet the families and know you make a difference is a feeling that one keeps forever.CONTACT
